Tiara's and Tutu's

Who need's toddlers? I got runners!

My sister and some friends last year started running 5k and half marathons. They wanted tutus to be able to run in for this years Tinker Bell half marathon at Disneyland California. So I gamely grabbed my tulle and elastic and went to work.  Oh my goodness making a tutu for a child and making one for an adult two total different tutus!  The same pattern does not should NOT be used!!!!  LOL think Hippo Ballerinas from Fantasmi, needless to say they were not worn.
So enter our next 5K the Dye or Run, this one I got to run.  We again decided we want tutus. So back to the drawing board I went what would look on a verity of sizes both adult and child.  I came to the decision of trying a crinoline style petticoat.  I also decided to not use quit as much yardage. Fashion Show and tell!

Happy girls are the prettiest ! Audrey Hepburn

I've had this is an idea in mind to be able to share and show my designs, since a warm afternoon last fall when I got to play Scarlet!

I’m incredibly lucky to have a wonderful best friend who has an adorable 2 year old. It also helps that Scarlet loves having her picture taken.

Everyday is a fashion show and the world is your runway……...

I want to capture the magic of childhood to make fun pretty play clothes that are unique and easy to wear. She makes it easy and fun to share.

Happy New Years!!!

Okay, let’s get to it: Its time for honesty (slowly stands up):UMMM:
Hi, my name is Maile. and I’m a procrastinator. I have written many an entry while driving my car or sewing. I have even taken pictures and have ideas for tutorials. Even have a few unfinished sewing projects…

And my news years resolution was to catch up on my paperwork side of my business. This past fall I had a great start at a craft show 12 weekend run and by the third I was treading water and I spent the rest struggling to keep up. I let almost all of the paperwork and computer part of my fledgling business  sit in a stack I now am attempting to organize it and put into the computer. So while I’m working my way through this monstrosity I have created I’m also attempting to polish the webpage I made the week before the craft show started and actually work/write/create this blog. Wish me luck!!!!
